Loss Control

Our Loss Control Division offers Port Captain and Expeditor services for tankers, including supervision of lightering operations by experienced Master Mariners. Our emphasis is to ensure our clients interests are fully protected on the vessels they chartered. We act as their eyes and ears on the job. Our system of pre-arrival, around-the-clock, on-site attendance and post departure involvement will improve operations and prevent losses due to poor management.

Our Loss Control team also provides:

• on hire/off hire surveys

• bunker and conditional, cleanliness and draft surveys

• P & I investigations, including pollution incidents, condition and damage surveys for insurance underwriters, and flag state inspections

• expert witness testimony

• internal and lead auditor services for implementation of ISM Code.
